I don’t know when schools started allowing students to make video science experiments, but this is a very cool science experiment. Much better than the execution of this experiment done by teenage boys that is seen on YouTube all the time.

New = Fun!
I really enjoy trying new out new products, especially those that may make my life more fun, productive, or interesting. Those who love me know that I am sucker for infomercials and things of the like. I’ve always said that a dream job for me would be to work at Consumer Reports or a similar service and get paid to try out new products.
I think the internet really caters to that personality trait of mine. With so many free services on the web, I can find all kinds of new things to try out. I’ve found that my trend seems to be as follows:
- I think, or sometimes don’t think, of a service/program/wish that would make my life easier/better/more interesting, but think that it just doesn’t exist.
- I find a program that does what is desired, and although not perfect, I get so excited about what it does so I tell all of my friends and family to try it right away.
- I use the program for a bit. Sometimes I quit if it stops working as intended.
- I find a program or website that does the same thing only much much better. Then I feel silly because I don’t want to tell friends and family that I found something new (again).
I do love finding new things that are fun or functional. Here are some of my top internet picks (and I’ve tried a lot)!
Picnik – I read on Photojojo today about this online photo editor. I just signed up for it a bit ago and have been playing around with it. It seems awesome. You have the ability to load pictures from your Flickr account and edit them. You can also load pictures from your computer to edit as well. I’m very excited about this, because with taking so many daily photos, I’ve been mainly uploading them to Flickr rather than my computer. This gives me the option to edit them easily, from any computer.
30boxes – This is a great way to organize your life and your to do list. It stores everything online, so if you’re like me and use a lot of different computers in a day, it’s accessible everywhere you are. Before this I was using Google Calendar, which is cool, but 30boxes is much more of what I was looking for, an easy to use system stored online. You can even keep in touch with what friends have going on as well.
Picasa – This photo editing and organizing software does some of the best adjustments to pictures that I’ve ever seen. It’s really great for keeping track of the photos stored on your computer all in one place. It’s totally awesome that it’s completely free as well.
I’m a pro again!.day54
