Quotes to Incorporate Into My Daily Conversations

June 27, 2007

“Shut the front door!” (An exclamation made by a dancer on So You Think You Can Dance?, when she was told she made it through to the show.)

Hoops and Yoyo

I’m a huge fan of Hallmark’s characters Hoops and Yoyo. It all started a few years ago when my uncle sent me a birthday e-card of them, which I just thought was super cute and funny. Since then they’ve been my choice of e-cards for most of my friends and have become an ongoing thing around the office I work at. My co-workers got me a Hoops and Yoyo bag for my birthday last year, which I just loved and carried to school the whole semster. This morning I get an email from Hallmark telling me that they have new Hoops and Yoyo items out for the summer. Look at all the cute new stuff they have!

Hoops and Yoyo Cup

This Hoops and Yoyo tumbler is just too cute! And it has glitter! I love glitter. I can already picture myself carrying my caffienated beverage of choice to work in this thing!

Hoops Wallet
I’m a little biased in the fact that Yoyo really is my favorite of the two. But I still like Hoops and this pink wallet would look great with my pink Discover card.
Hoops and Yoyo Messenger Bag
I’m a sucker for bags and purses of almost any kind. Even though I don’t go to class anymore (thank goodness), I still have a laptop that I could look totally cute carrying around in this bag.
Unfortunately, my budget won’t allow me to get this stuff right now. But I do have a birthday coming up in just a few months…. Family, are you listening? ;-)

I mean really..

This was my first planned girl’s night out since I’ve become an “old married woman.” We went out to eat and window shopping. It was a lot of fun getting to spend time with friends that I don’t get to see all the time. And I always love riding around in Michelle’s convertible with the top down!

Back! And better than ever!

June 18, 2007
Well it’s been a month (tomorrow) since we got married. The wedding was wonderful, better than either of us could’ve hoped for. I can’t even say how much we were touched by everything that our friends and family (and even people we didn’t really know!) did to make our day special.

I’m adjusting to married life (which is great) and (still!) trying to get our apartment in order. Sam was really sick this past week (to the point it was really scary and we ended up making a trip to the ER) so we didn’t get much accomplished last week, but things are going well. I’ve started a full time position at the company that I’ve worked at for the past 2 and a half years and I must say - I greatly enjoy being out of school. I’m enjoying life without homework and project stresses, spending time with my wonderful husband, friends and family.

Anywho, I’m glad to say I’m back and looking forward to getting back in the swing of updating my blog here at AforementionedThoughts. I’m even hoping to start up my photo-a-day project (which got pushed to the wayside when I was trying to finish classes and planning the wedding) again here soon.

For now, here is a link to see pictures from our honeymoon in Gatlinburg (mostly random pictures, but we had a really great time!) and a few pictures from our wedding that a friend took (I haven’t uploaded the pictures from our wedding to Flickr just yet, but I’m planning on doing so soon).
