I’d never played Scrabble before and every time I mentioned this to someone they would give me a horrible look like I was a traitor to my country or something.
So last night Sam taught me to play Scrabble and I kicked his butt!! Okay, really I won by one point, but for someone that had never played before, I thought that was pretty darn good!

This card cracked me up when I got it this morning!
I don’t know what got into me, but the other night I decided I was going to try to crochet my first amigurumi and, even after having to frog it like 5 times, I was determined to come up with something that looked like a cute little bird. It was a challenge (I’m not so good at reading crochet patterns), but I’m really happy with the result. I think he’s a cute little birdie!
This is the first year that I have a place of my (our 
) own to decorate for the seasons. I haven’t done much for summer, because really, none of the summer holidays are all that exciting to me. I am looking forward to decorating for the fall though!

I wrote before about PayPerPost and my philosophy on blogging. Last week my blog was approved for PayPerPost, which I’m very excited about. I’m looking forward to being part of a new type of advertising - blog advertising.
I first heard about PayPerPost on one of the blogs I was reading, to be honest I can’t remember which one. Since then I’ve noticed the PayPerPost symbol on many sites that I read regularly. From the looks of the PayPerPost site, there are also many other PayPerPost bloggers that I’m looking forward to connecting with as I start this new aspect of my website.
Also, I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t excited about the prospect of making some extra money. Being a newlywed, both of us on our own for the first time, means that money is on the conservative side. We’re doing fine now, but we’re well aware that unexpected costs rise up without warning, so we’re also working to create ourselves a safety net savings account.
The money I could potentially make off of PayPerPost opportunities will go towards the costs of running this website (something that I really enjoy, but would be one of the first things to go if money ever gets tight). Other money will go where needed. Or, if not needed anywhere, go into my savings for a digital SLR camera. It will be nice to have some extra income, especially since I’ll be generating it from the comforts of home!
Maybe PayPerPost is something that could benefit you as well? It never hurts to check it out, just like I did!

Life is good, filled with spending time with loved ones, crafting, and mindless tv.
I’m hoping to get back into blogging on a regular basis. I also want to get back to taking a picture a day - although my life really isn’t all that interesting anymore (not that it ever really was).
